One of the very few movies that Mel Gibson was involved in that deserves a special kind of respect. It's transfer to Blu-ray must have been treated with delicate care as the transfer to High Definition looks even more beautiful than its DVD release. If there's one movie that you need to purchase on Blu-ray, I would highly recommend this one.

While I don't consider myself a Mel Gibson fan, this movie portrays the events of the Revolutionary War, back when the colonies fought for independence against the British Empire and this is one of the very few movies that the Blu-ray format was designed for. With such notables as Mel Gibson, Heath Ledger (before he died) in one of his few quality roles, films about the history of the United States have always intrigued me.

I couldn't recommend this movie high enough.

You think the things in this book could not happen in the good ol' U.S. of A., You better think again, my friend. We are closer to this kind of situation that we are away from it. This book outlines a story of financial collapse. Frankly, givin' the choice, I would MUCH rather this happened than an EMP attack on a national scale....MUCH rather.

The very very sad part to any of these possibilities, is that we are most likely to get hit by an EMP. If that happens, we are $@#$ed. Why, because EVERYTHING electronic will be destroyed and rendered useless: E.G. cars, power to your house (transformers), cell phones, EVERYTHING!! And with no replacement electronic parts (because they have also been destroyed) nothing can be fixed. If an EMP were to happen on a national scale, we would be in the dark ages for months, likely years. Society would absolutely collapse into, you don't even want to think about it.

Back to this scenario in this book. The preparation by this large group of college buddies and their mates took ten years and a LOT of money to prepare for. They formed the group based on skills and abilities. Not a bad plan but how practical and cost prohibitive would this be. And, how would a group of individuals keep together as the years went along during the preparation phase. I would consider this book the best case preparation scenario and not too likely to be duplicated by only the most determined and disciplined.

However, it is an EXCELLENT work of getting prepared and doing what you can to have some sort of plan for disaster, at this level. I do not think this book to be overdone. There is so much truth in it to really scare one into immediate action.

At first I was skeptical about the professors by the mass fixing history to their ideology of Anti - Americanism. I have seen videos hidden on students to prove that its a reality, not to mention I was kicked out of a class because I dared challange a Professor that talked about America being a land of Slave Owners and ignorant chistians and Quazi Captialists.


I have seen text books even in my high school being un accurate about history and its social implimintations (sorry if I spelled that wrong). This book has been long overdue but bettter late than never. I have learned events from the Civil to the First World war to the Modern War on Terror that my History Teachers nor Politcal Science and Economics teacher told me about in High School even today the Professors that lectures me about history do not know about. This is historical accuracy at its finest. NO this nation was not founded directly on slave owners, no this is not a nation of sexism. This is a nation that yes has a dark past but these pasts are not what really shaped the United States.

This is the ultimate response to these leftist professors and a response to the biased textbooks that try to interprit hisotry their way in their agenda. Why is it that history text books by the majority cannot be like this book. Maybe not in a conservative viewpoint but in its authentic accuracy. Only one may wonder.

This bok will make Howard Zinn, Noham Chomsky, Saul Linsky, turn on their grave

I have only read one of the books so far,my honest opinion will be that if i had not read the books by Vince Flynn i would absolutely fall inlove with this Brad Thor's books but i find his books though a good read but seems like a copy of Vince's story line,so many similarities
